The capstone event for students who participate in IT-Adventures is a two-day competition, named the IT-Olympics, held on the ISU campus. It features high school students showcasing their IT talents and knowledge in competitions and presentations. IT-Olympics is also a celebration of IT, and is open to the public.

Teams from across the state compete in four different venues: cyber defense, game design, robotics, and multimedia. These correspond to the educational materials and challenges which they have worked on throughout the academic year. Download the Venue Document for more information.

Additionally, the teams present their IT-related community service project. They are scored on their multimedia community service PowerPoint, as well as oral description of the project. The score they receive is calculated into their overall team scores for the awards ceremony. Presentations must be 7 minutes long, 2 minutes for questions and 1 minute for judges (10 minutes); PPT file should be maximum of 20 megs and/or 5-7 slides. Please compress photos into the slide show.

Each team’s community service presentation is on display during the two-day event for all attendees and guests to view.
