IT-Olympics

Register now to volunteer with IT-Olympics.

The IT-Olympics provide an opportunity for those students who participated in the IT-Clubs throughout the year to showcase the knowledge and skills they have acquired.

More than 200 students representing 25 high schools from across Iowa have registered to participate in the 2008 event which will be held April 25 - 26 in Hilton Coliseum on the Iowa State University campus. The event will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and will end at 6 p.m. on Saturday. A schedule has posted on the web site.

Teams from IT-Clubs across the state will compete in three different venues in which they have received instructional materials. Prior to participating in their venue on-site in Ames in April, the teams must complete a community service project related to IT and submit a poster for competition describing their project. The posters will be on display during the two-day event for all attendees and guests to view and will be calculated into their overall scores for the final awards ceremony.
