IT-Olympics
This year IT-Olympics will host the The World's Largest Cyber Defense Competition with 40 high school teams entered in the event.
The IT-Olympics provide an opportunity for those students who participated in the IT-Clubs throughout the year to showcase the knowledge and skills they have acquired.

Winners of 2009 IT-Olympics to be Featured in Iowa Communications Network Program
Thanks to support from Iowa Public Television, the first place winners in each of the three 2009 IT-Olympic division competitions (cyber defense, game design and robotics) will be invited to describe their IT-Adventures experience and showcase their IT-Olympics winning projects during an ICN program. The students' presentations will be made on the ICN on May 13. Registration to participate in the broadcast can be made through IPTV.
The 2009 IT-Olympics will be held April 20-21 in Hilton Coliseum on the Iowa State University campus. The event is tentatively scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Monday and to end at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. A detailed schedule, as well as all the information for the high schools in attedance, is available under the Participants button.

Teams from IT-Clubs across the state will compete in three different venues in which they have received instructional materials. Prior to participating in their venue on-site in Ames in April, the teams must complete a community service project related to IT and submit a poster for competition describing their project. They will also do an oral presentation on the project. The posters will be on display during the two-day event for all attendees and guests to view. Both the poster and the presentation will be calculated into their overall team scores for the awards ceremony.
