For High School Teachers and Students

Registration to participate in the IT-Adventures program for the 2011-2012 academic year is now open on the web.

If you are the advisor for a school that participated in the IT-Adventures program last year, you need to reapply for the program and enroll/re-enroll your students. If you have forgotten your username and/or password, email info@it-adventures.org and we will help you get access again.

If you are a teacher who is interested in joining the IT-Adventures program for the first time, you may want to watch

• a short PowerPoint slide show that talks about the basics of our program

We also have information about the participants from the previous two years of competition to help you decide if the program is right for you school.

If you wish to register your school in the program, you must be an adult advisor. It will may take up to 24 hours before your account is activated and you can register your students. You will receive a confirmation email back from us with your username and password once the account is activated.

You will need to register your students with the program as soon as your account is activated. We will need their name, grade in school and their email address. They will be emailed and asked to complete an online survey at the start of the program and then again at the end of the survey. This survey is to help us continue funding our program and provide the program at no cost to you.

Please note: Due to funding restrictions, the program, especially IT-Olympics funding, will change. We will update you here and by email as soon as we have more information.

 

For Community Colleges

The fifth annual community college cyber defense competition (CCCDC) will be held December 2 & 3, 2011, in Howe Hall on the Iowa State University campus.

For Corporate Partners

You can register your business to participate in the IT-Adventures program.

As a corporate partner, you can

• elect to have a corporate sponsor display booth in Hilton Coliseum during the IT-Olympics, April 27-28, 2012;
• mentor a local high school team in cyber defense, game design and/or robotics;
• provide financial or in-kind support.

Volunteer with IT-Olympics

If you are interested in helping with IT-Olympics, you can register as a volunteer. Volunteer activities can include judging events, helping run the events, working the registration tables, serving pancakes and other opportunities.
