IT-Olympics hosted the World's Largest Cyber Defense Competition with 36 teams showing up to play.
The 2009 IT-Olympics was the largest Cyber Defense Competition ever held in any division -- high school, community college or university!
Winners of 2009 IT-Olympics Featured in Iowa Communications Network ProgramThanks to support from Iowa Public Television's education program, the first place winners in each of the three 2009 IT-Olympic division competitions (cyber defense, game design and robotics) described their IT-Adventures experience and showcased their IT-Olympics winning projects during an ICN program. The students' presentations were made on the ICN May 14.

- Lots of door prizes were given away during the IT-Olympics competition. Students were eligible for drawings for two digital cameras, three eee notebooks, three WIIs, one handheld GPS and one HP laptop, in addition to $500 scholarships to Iowa State University. Schools were in the drawing for one eee notebook, one GPS and four Lego Mindstorms NXT robotics kits.
- Two students' names were selected randomly randomly from those students who completed our online survey to win an iPod Touch and an iPod Shuffle.
